About Dr. Anna Bannon

Dr. Anna graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelors in Science in 2007. She then attended Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2011. She moved back to the Tampa area and worked in a small animal general practice for 5 years, then worked as an ER vet for 2 years before opening her own clinic.

As a little kid, she always loved animals. She grew up with cats, dogs, trained mini horses for local horse shows, raised squirrels with a wildlife rehabilitator and spent a lot of time outside in nature, climbing trees and riding bikes. She always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian, and started working for a vet when she was 16 years old.

She’s married and lives with her 4 dogs (including her unicorn doberman, Chai), 4 cats, 4 chickens (the #4 thing wasn’t done on purpose!), a parakeet and cockatiel. She still loves the outdoors and when she’s not working or at home watching Schitt’s Creek (the best TV show ever made), she can be found paddle-boarding or just hanging out with her family in their backyard around a bonfire.

Three fun facts about Dr. Anna: she has been a vegetarian for 26 years, she has only had 2 cars in her life — they are both manual/stick shift, and she loves Taylor Swift but is also a huge Radiohead and Pink Floyd fan!
